Is this an official Austrian vignette, or just a receipt?

It's the real thing. We buy a genuine digital vignette on your behalf and register it to your license plate in Austria's official toll system, so roadside cameras pick it up automatically. We're not ASFINAG — we're an independent service — but the vignette itself is identical to the official product.

Buying a 2-month or annual vignette — do I still have to wait 18 days?

Not through us. Buy directly from the official site as a private consumer, and you're typically looking at an 18-day wait before it becomes valid, due to consumer withdrawal rules. Order through us instead, and you skip that wait entirely: your vignette is valid right away.

I'm only driving through Austria for a few hours — do I still need a vignette?

Yes. Any car or motorcycle up to 3.5 tonnes needs a valid vignette to use Austrian motorways or expressways, even for a short transit. There's no exception for just passing through.

Will my vignette cover Brenner, Arlberg, or Tauern?

Not on its own. Those routes charge a separate toll (Streckenmaut) that isn't included in the standard vignette, so you'll need to pay for them separately. The vignette itself covers every other Austrian motorway (A) and expressway (S).

What happens if I'm caught without a valid vignette?

You'll be charged a substitute toll starting at 120 €. Leave that unpaid, and the fine can climb as high as 3,000 €. Checking that your vignette is active before you get on the motorway takes an extra minute and saves a lot of hassle.

I made a mistake entering my license plate. What now?

Email us right away and we'll correct it. Since the vignette is tied to that exact plate number, double-check it carefully before you pay — but if a typo slips through anyway, we can still fix it afterward.

How and when will I actually get my vignette?

By email, usually within a few minutes of payment. There's nothing to print and nothing mailed to you — the vignette exists only in the electronic system, so there's nothing to stick on your windscreen either.

Do I need to display or print anything on my windscreen?

No. Once your plate number is registered, cameras and enforcement systems check it automatically. No sticker, no printout, nothing physical involved.
